What is Youth Project?

This Saturday program provides kids from 5 to 18 a place to experience drum and dance in a supportive, encouraging, and directed way. Hendrick Dance Project has sponsored Youth Project since 1989.

The kids at Youth Project know what is expected of them -- and they reach their goals. Participants achieve a high sense of self-esteem by meeting the challenges inherent in drum and dance. The polyrhythmic music and complex movements give them a chance to stretch and grow, going beyond what many initially think they are capable of.

Space is limited, so please call 585-235-3960 first for a pre-admission screening.

Hendrick Dance Project is funded by Quad A for Kids, The Rochester Area Foundation, The New York State Legislature, The New York State Council on the the Arts, The Arts & Cultural Council of Greater Rochester, The Fred & Floy Willmott Foundation, Starbucks Coffee, The Oppenheimer Fund, and several small business and individual donors.
